Refund and Cancellation Policy: The Pennsylvania Dental Assistants Association (PDAA) reserves the right to cancel any course should circumstances warrant such action. In the event the course is canceled, the PDAA will refund the full tuition. If you cancel your registration for this program, the PDAA will refund the tuition minus a $10 administrative cancellation fee. Continuing education requirements 

PDAA offers courses twice a year in spring and fall.

As of February 2019, the Pennsylvania Dental Assistant Association has been approved as an AGD PACE course sponsor.

-         Certified assistant with DANB, you need to complete 12 hours of continuing education per year. Including 2 hours in infection control, 1 hour in OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, plus a CPR certification.

 

-        Do you need to retain your PA State Board of Dentistry EFDA permit? You can renew it by completing 10 hours in each renewal period, 2 hours in child abuse recognition and reporting, and a CPR certification. Please note that 5 hours out of the 10 must include live courses.

 

-        PA Radiology permit holder are required, by DEP, to take 2 contact hours (live courses) or 4 hours online course in radiation health and safety.  The requirements must be met every 4 years.

Online continuing education courses are offered FREE to ADAA members and to non-members for a nominal fee.
